Furry 101

You may have noticed our nifty “ChipIn” widget over on the right hand side of the page here, and if you don’t use AdBlock, a couple of adverts provided by Project Wonderful

I’d like to take a little time to discuss these.

Why run adverts at all?

Could it be so that we, your hard working editors can live the life of luxury, driving fast cars filled with copious amounts of drugs and alcohol, before coming home to grand mansions for the nightly debauchery of naked pizza wrestling parties?

I really really hope so.

Unfortunately, reality being somewhat less inclined to provide vast loot from a pair of adverts and a tip-jar, we’re having to aim lower:

Hosting costs

That’s right, it costs money to host Furry 101. Right now we’re surfing on the good ill of our webhost, but I’d like to expand, move Furry 101 to a fully hosted system, with a nicer layout, customized for our use, yadda yadda yadda.

Look, the upshot is, if we can scrape a little cash together per month, then we can start offering dedicated sections of the site – pages for comics, tutorials and general stuff, podcasts, more content, easier to find -  a forum, quick contact forms, that sort of thing.

Basically a nicer Furry 101. We don’t get paid for this, we’re doing it for free.

The point of all this

The point here is, if you have an ad blocker, please consider adding an exception for this page to show the adverts – they’re not flashing, strobing horrors, and it helps us out. And if you’d rather not see them, please consider throwing some cash in the tip-jar to help us realize the goal of naked pizza wrestling a better Furry101.
